Fast Food Fix: Dunkin Donuts

This Fast Food Fix is one that I think many people, including myself, will relate to. Probably 3 times a week I hit my local Dunkin Donuts drive thru for a large coffee with a shot of espresso. Yep, The Angry Trainer needs his caffeine fix just like the rest of you!
When I was a kid, the Dunkin Donuts menu was literally just donuts – but now the options have expanded vastly. The question is – are the new choices healthy?

McDonalds – Why I’m Still Not Happy With Happy Meals

McDonalds is in the news once again, this time for winning the approval of First Lady Michelle Obama with the company’s decision to include both fruit and French fries in children’s Happy Meals.
Apparently the serving of fried potatoes will be reduced by nearly half, and depending on where you live and the time of the year, fruit such as apples, pineapple, raisins or even mandarin orange slices will now be included. This is all slated to take full effect by April of next year.

Fast Food Fix: Chick-Fil-A

Here we go with another Fast Food Fix, where I review a popular fast food chain and suggest 3 healthy choices, and what dishes to steer clear of based on their nutritional value, or lack thereof.
Todays post is an eatery I’ve never been to – Chick-Fil-A, the popular fried chicken pit stop. That may be because there’s only one location in NY, but there are 253 in Texas! I guess everything is bigger in Texas!
But while I can’t comment on taste I can rate the chain’s nutritional values.
