As a nation we buy into some really silly fitness products that I KNOW people can’t possibly believe actually work. But due to some strange phenomenon the infomercial and fitness industry still continue to rake in billions of dollars per year. It truly is one of the great mysteries of the modern age!!!!

About a year ago I wrote a post entitled Can Your Footwear Keep You Fit  talking about Skechers and the ridiculous claims used to advertise their controversial Shape Ups shoes. And now yesterday the news broke that Skechers has been fined $40 million  for misrepresenting the apparent benefits of wearing Shape Ups.
