I’ve been a reader of your site for a while and love the logical and common sense answers you give!
Unlike most women, I’m not scared of heavy weights and love lifting! My only problem is that after some health problems, I’m working my way back and find that I can’t lift as heavy as I used to without injuring myself (knees, back, etc.)
I seem to plateau at a certain weight and can’t lift anymore without injury to my joints and tendons. Since I love doing HIIT, running, Spinning, boxing, etc, I know I need to stay strong to work More >
So this morning I saw a segment about Sarah Palin on The Today Show while performing some HIIT training on a bike at my gym. And since I’m a multi tasking blogger, I went straight to my Angry Trainer Facebook page to leave the following message…
‘Sarah Palin slated to write a fitness book….come on’.
That was my total message – no nasty words, no political commentary, nothing. The fact is Sarah Palin is a politician, NOT a fitness expert or trainer, so my remarks were meant to reflect this.
Well many people were quite upset with me, calling me a hater More >
Over the years we’ve seen hundreds of infomercial products designed to target the abs and deliver users that much desired six-pack! Well now many companies are targeting the upper body as well.
One such product is called Chest Magic and it’s makers claim it works your arms, shoulders and back in just a few minutes per day.
So does it work? Let’s take a look.
The pitch for Chest Magic starts off with ‘celebrity’ trainer Jennifer Nicole Lee asking viewers if they want a pumped chest, big arms and ripped abs. Well duh!
Apparently this full body trainer (designed for men AND women) replaces More >
Time for another Change It Up here on the site where I give you a super simple suggestion to take your workouts up a notch!
Today’s tip is time honored and tested – super-setting!
You’ve probably heard different definitions of exactly what a superset is so let me share mine. It really is very simple. Most people while performing an exercise will sit around and rest before hitting the next round. Well with supersets you immediately jump into another exercise, essentially performing a superset of two movements. So if you’re using dumbbell chest presses, you may get up and go right into More >
I have a Diet/Exercise question for you. I’m a 16-year old female who loves fitness and healthy living, although sometimes I binge on carbs and sweets that leave me feeling very sick the next day and retaining water.
Sometimes after I eat so poorly I feel my regular workouts and diet don’t seem to be working right… I generally eat very healthy and consistently perform HIIT workouts or jump rope / free weights. But they just don’t seem to be delivering the usual punch of endorphins and sweat.
Am I over reacting or can cheating on your diet with unhealthy foods More >
Face it, if you work out you will get hurt. It’s inevitable; in fact even people who don’t exercise often times will throw their back out or hurt a shoulder during daily tasks. But if you’re anything like me you may be a glutton for punishment – the type of person who keeps re-visiting movements that have previously caused you problems!
So today I want to know which exercise has injured you the most?
For me it’s my leg training that has left me seriously hurt. I’ve thrown my back out on squats and even the leg press and as weird as More >
As you know today is our birthday here at Angry Trainer Fitness – so in light of this great day, I thought I’d share my 10 favorite posts from the last year…
Ready – here we go!
1. Mariah Carey : How Did She REALLY Get Her Body Back? I know it may seem strange that this one’s a favorite of mine but let me explain. I can’t say for sure, but I strongly suspect Mariah underwent a tummy tuck post pregnancy. I’ve seen enough tucks up close and in real life to recognize a reconstructed belly button when I see it. Wow I can hardly believe it! Just two years ago to the day we launched the Angry Trainer Fitness website. And in that short amount of time not only has the site grown but I have as an individual. I never quite know how people are going to react my views, opinions and the experiences that I share. But I have to say that all of you have been amazingly supportive, even when we disagree! For that I thank and respect you.
Today is a big day for us and I can’t let it go by without giving thanks to the More >
