VIDEO: The GNC Bust Your Ass Workout!
I bet that title got your attention! So are YOU ready to bust your ass!
I know you all really like the workout videos we run here on the site so we’ve got lots more on the way!
As you may have read I’ve been working with GNC recently, testing and reviewing some of their products – and giving you the real deal on what I like (and what I don’t!) A few months ago for example I took a look at the company’s Beyond Raw range which I loved.
Well now the folks at GNC have asked me to take a look at their line of AMP Whey protein products… but we’ve also decided to take it up a notch! After all, what good are supplements of any kind and especially whey protein if you’re not busting your ass in the gym!? So along with my upcoming review of the protein powder, I’m also going to be posting GNC Live Well sponsored workout videos and diet plans here on the site.
Okay so here’s the first video for today – are you ready to bust your ass? Seriously this is a Tabata workout. That means it’s just 4 minutes of exercise. Yes, you read that right! 4 Minutes! And don’t even tell me that you don’t have 4 minutes to exercise. No-one is THAT busy!
Believe it or not, you can reap some serious fitness, health and metabolic benefits in just a few minutes. For simplicity I’ve chosen 3 exercises and performed them for 20 seconds each with 10 seconds rest in between and 4 total circuits. Got that? Don’t worry if it sounds confusing – just follow along with me in the video.
Here’s what you need – a kettlebell (or dumbbell, gallon of milk, paint can, etc.), a resistance band and your body – that’s it. Oh yeah – and you’ll also need a willingness to beat yourself up a bit and like gasping for air. Sounds like fun right? Give it a try.
I want to thank GNC for sponsoring this video and for supplying me with AMP protein to help recover and recuperate from tough workouts just like this! Workouts like the one I’m sharing today is how I Live Well Now!

yup. 6 min. Lol. For it to be 4 min., you would set the timer for 8 rounds of 10/20 sec. intervals. And you need an even number of exercises. Oh well, an extra two minutes won’t kill us

20 seconds times three exercises = 1minute
1 minute times 4 rounds = 4 minutes of exercise
the other 2 minutes are rest
I believe the man says 4 minutes of exercise.
not a 4 minute workout.

AngryTrainer, i have some q’s! How often should I do a tabata workout? Can I use it to replace my 30 mins of cardio? Does this help to tone, burn fat, increase stamina? I’m new to tabata, would love to know!
