VIDEO: The GNC Bust Your Ass Workout!
I bet that title got your attention! So are YOU ready to bust your ass!
I know you all really like the workout videos we run here on the site so we’ve got lots more on the way!
As you may have read I’ve been working with GNC recently, testing and reviewing some of their products – and giving you the real deal on what I like (and what I don’t!) A few months ago for example I took a look at the company’s Beyond Raw range which I loved.
Well now the folks at GNC have asked me to take a look at their line of AMP Whey protein products… but we’ve also decided to take it up a notch! After all, what good are supplements of any kind and especially whey protein if you’re not busting your ass in the gym!? So along with my upcoming review of the protein powder, I’m also going to be posting GNC Live Well sponsored workout videos and diet plans here on the site.
Okay so here’s the first video for today – are you ready to bust your ass? Seriously this is a Tabata workout. That means it’s just 4 minutes of exercise. Yes, you read that right! 4 Minutes! And don’t even tell me that you don’t have 4 minutes to exercise. No-one is THAT busy!
Believe it or not, you can reap some serious fitness, health and metabolic benefits in just a few minutes. For simplicity I’ve chosen 3 exercises and performed them for 20 seconds each with 10 seconds rest in between and 4 total circuits. Got that? Don’t worry if it sounds confusing – just follow along with me in the video.
Here’s what you need – a kettlebell (or dumbbell, gallon of milk, paint can, etc.), a resistance band and your body – that’s it. Oh yeah – and you’ll also need a willingness to beat yourself up a bit and like gasping for air. Sounds like fun right? Give it a try.
I want to thank GNC for sponsoring this video and for supplying me with AMP protein to help recover and recuperate from tough workouts just like this! Workouts like the one I’m sharing today is how I Live Well Now!

At some point or another you’ve probably used hip bridges in your fitness routine. And if you’re a man who thinks that this movement is just for the ladies – you’re wrong! The hip bridge is a great way to glute and hamstring strength. You can use them before a workout as a pre-exhaustion exercise…

Time for another Q&A video here at Angry Trainer Fitness and the title of this post is probably one of the most frequently asked questions I get here at the site! Everyone always wants to know which pill helps lose weight, which vitamin and protein powder is best, and if the rare African berry…

I’ll be honest – in the past if I was short on time I’d just skip my workout altogether. But these days I know better and I’ve realized that you don’t have to be in the gym to get great benefits from a simple exercise routine. So today I’m sharing a bodyweight / resistance band…

I’m sure you all know the ‘conventional wisdom’ when it come to training reps – low weight and high reps for toning, heavy weight and low reps for building muscle. Well for today’s Change It Up it’s time to shake things up a bit! Most trainees are creatures of habit and even I have…

What’s the one body part EVERYONE seems to want these days? I’d go for six-pack abs – that much desired washboard stomach that every infomercial and workout video seems to be geared towards! Well six-pack abs take a lot of work and let’s be honest – working your abs can sometimes be boring right?…
