The Next Angry Trainer Ustream Chat: Exercise And Aging
So are you all ready for this week’s Ustream chat?
As you may have noticed here on the site we’ve recently started running a popular series of posts called Fitness After Forty, geared towards the topic of aging and exercise. Let’s face it, the older we get the more it becomes clear that exercise is integral to maintaining our health, fitness, vitality and even keeping our sex lives active!
But I see a lot of people in their late 30’s, and older, trying to workout like they’re still in their teens. That gets you nowhere fast, plus it increases your risk for injury. When you’re a bit older your physical needs are different, therefore your training should also be different as well. So for this week’s chat I’m going to be talking about the topic of Exercise and Aging – what you should do – and what you should definitely NOT do!!!
You know the drill by now. Chats start at 9PM EST on Tuesday nights on my Ustream channel. Be sure to bring lots of questions – and if you can’t make it shoot them over to me in advance.
As usual, we’ll be recording the chat and adding it to my Angry Trainer You Tube channel.
See you tomorrow at 9pm… don’t be late!

I will not be available for the chat but I do have a question. I am 48 and I have been working out for 4 years usually at least 5 days a week for 45 minutes to 2 hours. I am obese although there is a hundred pounds less of me now. I have no known health problems other than a hiatus hernia. My 45 minute workouts are usually intense cardio or weight lifting with a trainer. A 2 hour workout is usually moderate swimming, hiking or biking. Two days after every workout (every single workout) my muscles ache. I often walk funny because my muscles ache. I talked to the doctor and he said “Welcome to middle age”. I have asked around and nobody I know has this problem after every workout. The ache is related to the workout. The muscles I work the hardest are the ones that ache. Is this normal?
