I’ve struggled with my weight for 10 years now, really since I had my son. I’ve tried every diet, every workout and although I’ve lost weight and come close to my goal once before, I’ve always gained it back. I’m 42 now and I feel like I’m on borrowed time before it becomes impossible to shed the weight.
I just started working out with a trainer and my gym and he told me about a diet he’s used before. He said I can eat as much protein as I want, along with anything green, except peas. Have you heard of More >
Hi everyone – time for some more videos here at Angry Trainer Fitness I think!
Here’s another segment of our Exercise Rights And Wrongs strand, where I show you the RIGHT way to perform an exercise many people perform incorrectly. Today’s video is all about Lunges, and while it’s a great leg exercise, correct execution of the movement is really key to maximizing its benefits, and for avoiding injury.
Unfortunately I see many people placing themselves in harm’s way with sloppy, uncontrolled form. They either lean forward, short step and place strain on the knee, or lift the heel on the weight bearing leg. Those More >
Are you so regimented in your workout routine that if someone is using the equipment you need, you’ll sit around and wait for it? Well, I used to be one of those people, and would sometimes wait 10 or 15 minutes for another to finish up my workout. But not anymore…
Whether you’re waiting for the power rack or leg press, or there’s a shortage of benches because the gym is crowded, there’s always alternative exercises you can perform that will help you achieve the same results. So for this week’s Top 10 I’m going to give you ten different – yet More >
One of the questions I’m asked all the time is “How can I increase my speed”. Well when you guys ask I do my best to answer – so today’s workout is all about helping you increase your athletic prowess. It’s called The Cheetah Workout – and in case you didn’t know, the cheetah is the world’s fastest land animal. It explodes out of the gate and hits at top speed of 65 mph in just 4 seconds! That’s power!
But let me make one thing clear from the start – you can work hard, or you can work long, but More >
I would like to ask you if you have any experience with crunching joints?
I have never had a problem with it before, but now I cant’ perform even one squat and not hear my knee joint make a loud click. It’s not painful – yet – but I am afraid because I’m only 18 and I don’t want to have any problems in the future.
I know that you would for sure tell me to go see a doctor, but I have such a feeling that he would only tell me to not work out, and I’m not sure that’s More >
Just when I thought our ways of dealing with obesity couldn’t become any more absurd, yesterday I watched a segment on The Today Show discussing the latest weight loss controversy from the UK. Turns out doctors are now planning on performing gastric balloon and lap band weight loss surgeries on CHILDREN, some as young as 11!
Oh boy – where do I start with this one!
It’s time for another Testing The Trainers – and today I’m going to be giving you my thoughts on celebrity trainer and reality TV star Jackie Warner.
The woman with amazing abs (and body!) has had her own reality fitness shows (Work Out, Thintervention), has appeared on numerous magazine covers, morning shows, and interviews, and truthfully has established quite a reputation and brand.
Jackie has also written a New York Times bestseller, “This is Why You’re Fat (and How to Get Thin Forever)”, and has, of course, released her own line of workout DVD’s.
But is what Jackie preaches practical, and should you listen More >
Hey everyone, it’s time for one of my favorite postings – Infomercial Insanity!
You know I love checking out the programs and workouts circulating around the TV and web. Today’s post is all about the famous Billy Blanks, creator of the in home workout phenomenon, Tae Bo, and arguably one the biggest infomercial personalities out there.
Billy’s come out with a new program called PT 24/7 – The Ultimate Tae Bo Workout. Supposedly the program delivers TWICE the results, in HALF the time.
But does it work?(more…)
